Name the mechanism accurately

A folding hinge, a removable leg and a part that lifts out are different designs. For example, Little Tikes describes detachable legs on model 664540. That supports calling the legs detachable; it does not support calling the whole table foldable or inventing a flat-pack thickness. We have not verified a folding model in this edition.

Separate assembled and stored dimensions

Our product pages record the manufacturer’s assembled measurements. When a separate stored size is missing, we say so. Carton dimensions describe the shipping package and are not a reliable substitute for how a partly assembled table will fit in your cupboard. Ask the maker if the storage decision depends on a particular measurement.

Account for loose pieces

Draw the main component and list the legs, tower and accessories separately. A dry storage location may need more than one container. Read any storage-bag instructions, check that pieces are clean and dry and keep them away from unsupervised children. Do not force parts to bend or detach contrary to the instructions.

Ask for the size of the parts you will store

If space is tight, ask the manufacturer for the largest remaining component’s width, depth and height after only the disassembly permitted by its instructions. Ask whether the tower or legs may be removed repeatedly and what needs a separate container. Record those answers with the model number and measure the cupboard opening as well as its interior. Keep a blank answer unknown; do not substitute shipping-carton dimensions.

Make the routine realistic

If a daily disassembly would be awkward, a different storage location or a smaller setup may be more useful than a nominally compact design. This is an editorial planning question rather than a durability test. We have not timed assembly, tested hinge life or compared real storage volumes.
