Adult supervision stays with this card

A responsible adult must supervise closely and constantly, stay within reach and avoid distractions whenever water is accessible. Follow the table and accessory instructions, age labels and warnings. Do not allow climbing, drinking the play water or access to small or damaged pieces. If supervision stops, end the activity and empty all water immediately.

This dry plan still needs adult supervision and age-appropriate products. If any water remains accessible nearby, the water-supervision guidance still applies.

Gather a few things

  • A table whose manufacturer explicitly allows dry building play
  • Compatible age-appropriate building pieces
  • A cleared floor area
  • A container for counting pieces afterward

The adult setup

Only use this plan with a product intended for the dry activity. Adult assembly, surface attachment and accessory instructions still apply. “Dry” does not make unsuitable small pieces appropriate.

A simple sequence

  1. An adult sets the dry table on the required stable surface and brings out a small selection of compatible pieces.
  2. Start a simple low structure together. Avoid climbing or standing on the table.
  3. Invite the child to change one part or rebuild at their own pace.

One question to explore

What happens when the base is wider? No height competition is needed.

Finish & put away

Count and inspect pieces, remove damaged ones and store them according to the manufacturer instructions in an adult-controlled location.

Original editorial design, not a hands-on trial. Preparation time is an estimate, not a play duration or developmental outcome. Adults should review, adapt or stop the activity as needed. No water beads, food dyes or tiny loose household materials are included.
